Christmas Monkey

When: While we were decorating for the holidays

Doggy Thoughts: I haven't met a monkey I don't like (ie my friend pinky and there is a orange squeaky guy too), the includes this Christmas monkey that I gave a piggy back ride too.

P.S.  Family is doing Christmas card photos this weekend look for more holiday shots, soon, reindeer ears anyone?

Frenemy

When: Right after the new neighbors moved in

Doggy Thoughts:  If this kitty things that this sliding glass door can protect him or her, well who knows, but if he chooses to lay there and taunt me I ain't moving an inch either.

Barnyard Animals

When:  A Saturday Morning
Location: Farmer's Market Cheese Stand

Doggy Thoughts:  I may be a city chap, but that doesn't mean I don't have the chance to meet up with some goats!  Yes you read that correctly, the local cheese stand brings a few goats each week and today we gave each other a polite sniff.  I hear they make an out-of-this-world feta, but the rents never seem to share with me.

Who has been Sleeping in MY BED

When: The opportunity strikes
Location: Where I am clearly not allowed

Doggy Thoughts: So I waltzed into the rents hearts last year and after much love they gave me free reign of lots of the house, but the last hold out has been their bed.  Something about being allergic and that I should not get to go wherever I please.  Just to un-nerve them every once and while I like to jump up there! Right on their pillows was just icing on the case to really peeve them.

Recovery from Thanksgiving

When:  After the big Turkey Dinner
Location: In front of the big TV

Doggy Thoughts:  Ok so I neither helped prepare or eat the big Thanksgiving dinner, but hey my kibble has turkey and sweet potatoes in it, so that is pretty close right?  Well any-who, afterward I needed to rest and take in some of the football games, just like my football fanatic owner.

Goodbyes

When:  In the morning right before the rents leave for work.
Location: Stuck at home

Doggy Thoughts: I purposely like to look small and sad as they rush out the door, so they think of me all day at work.

Dreamy Eyes

Doggy Thoughts: I may not have hands, but that doesn't prevent me from pulling the blanket such that I can be perfectly tucked in.

Doggy Thoughts: Further proof I am perfecting my craft! Also, I get the distinct feeling that my humans are a bit jealous I can sleep away, day after day while they must go to work.

Doggy Thoughts: Can't get any closer to the doggy parents, then being buried amongst their clothes, but why can't they be a little bit more tidy so my new bed isn't as lumpy!

Doggy Thoughts: Ok, Ok, I *repeat* I did not actually consume any cocktails, but after licking so much PB out of my toy, I just can't be bothered to get my whole body down off the back of the couch.

Ball Boy

Location: Just enough grass for me to break into a sprint
Doggy Thoughts: Don't blink, you might miss how fast I am at getting the ball

Doggy Thoughts: So what if my absolute favorite stuffed animal is a neon pink monkey! Doesn't make me any less of a top dog, then you all already know I am.

Monsters under the bed?

Doggy Thoughts: You see that nice brown pillow to the left of my legs, well that is my proper bed.  But sometimes, I feel I should take it upon myself to make certain there are no monsters under the bed.  This is a serious, exhausting job and unfortunately I have been know to doze off while at my command post.

Doggy Thoughts: Phoenix has had a really warm September and as a result I haven't been hiking in far too long. So I thought I put up a picture of cooler days when I got to spend some quality time outdoors. 

Busy Buddy

When:  During my "Alone Time"
Location:  Living Room

Doggy Thoughts: The parents often leave this toy for me when they are going out.  It is maddening, they always put something that smells DELICIOUS inside and dagnabbit! The little thing makes it such challenge to get out.  I move it with my nose, twist it with my paws, and lick it all over.  It takes me so L-O-N-G to get at the treat.

Parents Thoughts: (Insert Laughing) That the whole point.

Doggy Thoughts: Hey for a stray like myself, car rides were a new experience, no one told me I was suppose to ride in the seats!  Plus Pepper the dog was excited and couldn't pick a side to sit on, so I found myself a place to relax.  Don't worry since I was clearly blocking my doggy parents ability to reverse safely, they made me get down, but not before allowing me to pose for a quick cell phone picture.

Are You ready for some FOOTBALL??

When:  NFL Season Opener Saints vs. Vikings
Location:  My person practice field, also know as the living room rug
Doggy Thoughts: You should see my amazing footwork and vertical leaps as I catch this thing.  I haven't currently signed with any teams, but you just wait.

Romper Room

Location:  Doggy Day Care
Doggy Thoughts:  The parents ship me off to doggy daycare about once a month if they have a full day planned.  Plus, hanging with a pack of dogs this large helps keep my socialization skills top notch.  Nobody wants a dog with bad manners and as they say "the power of the pack" helps with that.

1,000 Watt Smile

Location:  Under some bright lights
Doggy Thoughts: Look at my great smile, huge ears, and bright eyes.  What is not to love?

Doggy Thoughts: Bet you did not know I am big advocate of eating locally, that is locally made biscuits they have at the farmer's market, It is the best reason to get up early every week.
